Toothache

Overview

If you have a sore tooth or a large cavity sometimes a simple filling won't be enough to get you feeling better. To help get you out of any tooth related pain, sometimes root canal therapy will need to be performed.

Root canal therapy is a procedure to clean out the pulp chamber within the tooth in instances where it has been irreversibly affected by decay or trauma. This can help prevent or alleviate pain or abscess, and can help to save the tooth so that it can be restored rather than extracted.

In most cases, we recommend a crown after a root canal procedure to help give the tooth the best chance of success.
